Last updated July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Octo Learning, Inc. ("Octo", "we") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform.
What we collect
- Account data - name, email, and profile photo, provided by you or your sign-in provider (Google, Apple).
- Learning data - the topics you request, your answers during class interviews, quiz results, progress, and the learning-profile preferences you set.
- Your materials - documents and links you attach to personalize classes.
- Usage data - device, browser, and interaction data that helps us keep Octo fast and reliable.
How we use it
We use your data to build and personalize your classes, remember how you learn across classes, operate and secure the service, process payments, and improve Octo. We do not sell your personal data.
AI processing
Your topics, interview answers, and attached materials are processed by AI models to generate your classes. We use this data to serve you - not to train third-party foundation models with your identity attached.
Memory
Octo keeps a memory of your learning preferences to make future classes better. You can view, edit, or delete individual memories anytime from Profile → Memory.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run Octo (hosting, authentication, payments, analytics), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Exercise them from your account settings or by writing to hello@learnatocto.com.
Changes
We will announce material changes to this policy in the product or by email before they take effect.
